A Sneak Peek Into The Diet That Alia Bhatt Swears By
With just a week left for the slated release of Alia Bhatt & Shahid Kapoor starrer Shaandaar, the movie has been creating quite a buzz on TV, YouTube, radio channels and our playlists.
Going by the trailers and promos, it’s only fair to say that Alia Bhatt has worked (even) harder on herself for this flick. And we can’t help but bow down in respect for the 22-year-old’s flawless bikini bod! Basically apart from being a whole century younger than us the diva now has a physique to kill for as well!
A chubby girl in her teens, Alia had always wanted to feature on the silver screen. And when at the age of 19 she was offered Karan Johar’s SOTY with the only condition of loosing the extra inches, there was no looking back. From Student of The Year to Shaandaar, here’s how Alia Bhatt managed to pull off looks that have got our jaws dropped permanently!
The No If, No Bhatt Diet
Apart from a rigorous workout regime, Alia Bhatt’s diet plan too is well chalked out. Have a look.
Breakfast:
Toasted Bread, cornflakes, fruit, a bowl of poha, or a vegetable or an egg white sandwich. This along with a cup of tea or coffee, without sugar.
Mid-morning:
A glass of vegetable juice, along with a fruit or an idli with a small bowl of sambhar.
Lunch:
Dal, roti and some vegetable cooked in little or no oil.
Tea-time/mid-evening:
A fruit and a cup of tea or coffee sans sugar of course.
Dinner:
Roti and vegetables or rice with a bowl of dal or a piece of chicken breast, again with little or no oil.
The actor swears by a low-carb, high-protein diet and includes a lot of fibrous foods in her diet, like oats, salads, fresh fruits, yoghurt. The diet strictly strays off of refined sugar, refined carbs, junk food and oily food.
Tips & Tricks
8 Meals a Day
Alia Bhatt is a small eater and makes it a point to divide her food into 8 meals everyday. This helps her keep her portions in check and is also a good practice in order to digest food easily.
Dabba System
During an interview for Filmfare, she let us in on how to manage a hectic schedule with a stringent diet. She said, “Whenever I’m shooting, I carry a dabba, which has egg whites, fruits, chicken, stir fried veggies and chaas.”
Taboos
Another trick that the star has up her sleeve is drinking plenty of water. Despite ice cream and sweets being her favorite, the young diva turns a blindside towards sugary grubs, unhealthy carbs, oils and junk food even though her favorite snack is French Fries – well who’s isn’t?
Cheat Days
With a health plan so rigorous, a cheat day once a week is only fair. The actress indulges in sweets and homemade treats on the blessed day but turns the gluttony around by following it up with a detox which consists of doodhi juice, lime water and sprouts.
Now that you have a detailed insight into Aila (strike) Alia’s diet, go ahead and flaunt a Shaandaar shape!
