Budweiser to Rebrand to “America” For The Summer
Budweiser may not be very popular outside of the United States, but what they have been known for in the last few years are their tearjerking Super Bowl commercials that deserves all the awards.
And now, the American beer icon is taking a step further from their traditional packaging design to change it’s name to “America”.
Belgium-based Anheuser-Busch InBev, Bud’s parent company, has reportedly asked the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for permission to use labeling that replaces the beer’s name. Also included on the packaging might be some of these star-spangled phrases: “E Pluribus Unum,” “from the redwood forest to the Gulf stream waters this land was made for you and me,” and “indivisible since 1776.”

AdAge reports that A-B InBev confirmed that the limited-edition label change carrying the new name “America” will run from May 23rd election season in November. The packaging will be accompanied by a summer-long campaign called “America Is In Your Hands”, featuring the new packaging on June 1st.
