Thus the panel discussion that happened in Mumbai laid focus and complete awareness and management of the disease.

“Every person is the author of their life!’ We can rewrite important chapters based on our current circumstances,” Seema Pinto during the panel discussion as reported by the Times of India. “With current lifestyles being what they are, it isn’t uncommon for people to get diabetes at an early age. Most people are not aware that they are pre-diabetic and can postpone the onset of diabetes with a well-managed diet and fitness programme. The Diabetic Food Trail is a humble initiative to spread awareness of importance of healthy living.”

The report further says that Megha Gupta, Indian television actress gave her viewpoints as, “Type 1 diabetes has always been a hard belief to deal with. It has been a struggle to keep it under observation and control. Hence this initiative has it’s stand alone presence across the society and I hope it helps spreading knowledge and educate masses year on year basis.”
