Head Down to Turyaa For the Best Oriental Street Food Festival
Asian Cuisine is so vast and varied, that it is impossible to pick and choose a favourite among them all. Turyaa has made the job all the more easy for us by organising a complete festival filled with delicious treats from all over the Oriental World of Food. You must go for this festival because they have carefully selected each and every single element in the extensive menu with great care. Such attention to detail gives one a taste of pure unadulterated pleasure.
Each section in the menu has been chosen to highlight a particular style of cooking and eating. Cold counters, Live grills, Make your own bowls and even Moacktails with an Asian twist.
Menu
You are first greeted with freshly squeezed Sugarcane juice at the rooftop restaurant Dao. It is a gorgeous setting with beautiful Oriental decor and a view of the entire city below.
The menu has both Vegetarian and No Vegetarian Options and we tried the Thai Seafood Broth first. Delicately flavoured with the right amount of spicy kick, the beautiful seafood is allowed to shine.
After the warming soup, It is best to head to the cold section next and sample some of the delicate salads and Sushi. With the accompanying crisp pickles and sauces, these salads are just light and wonderful
A selection of Made to Order Live Starters await you next and the best way to get maximum out of the experience is if one person chooses the veg option and another chooses the non veg selection. Marinated in the best sauces you will be blown away by the flavours.
Chicken wings. Fish stir fry, Spring rolls, Dim Sum, Octopus, Tofu, Grilled Pineapple among others are some of the yummy starters.
These mushrooms grilled to perfection were absolutely stunning and a must try.
Moving on to Mains, the star attraction is of course the Build your own Noodle Bowl Section. You have to choose any one of the fresh handmade noodles of your choice and top it up with veggies and meat of your choice. The chefs will then strir fry it for you in the wok along with the sauce of your choice.
Chefs working their magic
We tried the Udon Noodles with a few of our favourite Veggies, Chicken and Egg all tossed in the White Garlic Sauce and it was just the perfect noodle dish. The white garlic sauce is not too overpowering but has a lovely toasted garlic flavour along with a light sesame flavour from the oil used.
Apart from the noodle section, there is also a buffet section of Rice, with Thai and Chinese style curries.
The Dessert counter is lovely with a selection of traditional Asian desserts. The flavours are mainly tropical with Coconut, Jaggery and Banana being the main flavours,
Head down to Turyaa Chennai before the 24th of June and savour some of the best Oriental cuisine you can get. The Menu changes every day of the week, but we are sure that no matter which day you go, you will be pleasantly surprised.
