Here’s How Chipotle Almost Killed This TV Star
It is a well-researched claim that fast food is unhealthy. Whether it’s because of all the trans fat, the breads, fried food, or other unhealthy ingredients, nutritionists have always professed staying away from the lot. But has that ever stopped us? No. Because the worst we expect of our bag of fries and nuggets is a few extra pounds on the weighing scale. But here’s proof that fast food can result in much worse health hazards.
Death By Burrito
Supergirl actor Jeremy Jordan recently paid a heavy price for eating at Chipotle. In an Instagram story last week, the singer and actor lashed out at the Mexican chain for serving him food that allegedly sent him to the hospital and almost had him killed.
“I know I’ve advocated for them in the past, but they’re terrible,” Jordan said in his post where he could be seen in a hospital bed with an IV tube tacked on to his arm. “I, as you can see, am in the hospital and I have fluids in my arm because the food did not agree with me and I almost died.”
Meanwhile, Chris Arnold, a spokesperson for the burrito chain said that while the chain takes all such claims seriously, there have been no other such reports of illness by customers. Moreover, the restaurant cannot “confirm any link to Chipotle given the details he [Jordan] shared”, Arnold added.
In the past few years, Chipotle has found itself battling some serious lawsuits. Right from employees complaining of racism to their food allegedly carrying the E.Coli bacteria (not once but twice), the fast food chain really needs to up its marketing and public relations after the incident with Jordan.
