What’s the first thought that pops into your head when you see a super slender model? Probably that “she must starve herself” or that “it must be in her genes”, right? Satisfying as it is for most of us ‘L’s and ‘XL’s, to presume that the ‘S’s and ‘XS’s of the world survive on a calorie a day and have no clue what a Caramel Frappuccino with extra whipped cream taste like, it’s not true. Genes have little to do with the jeans.
The perfect example of this is the angelic Victoria’s Secret models. Yes, it does take a lot (A LOT) to not have a single inch of fat on your waist and glide down the runway looking like a million bucks in lingerie. But not starvation.
Minimal-Maximal
The Angels have a diet chart to follow coupled with a rigorous workout schedule. In “technical” terms, nutritionists call this a minimal eating and maximal exercising lifestyle. One that isn’t suited for all.
Their platters see a lot of greens and fibers in the forms of water, celery, chicken breasts, steamed veggies, cold-pressed juices and salads. The expert trainers recommend swapping wine for tequila and soda, never indulging in a cheat meal, and cutting out sugar from your life completely.
That said, there are certain annoyingly blessed souls who even cheat with a burger every other day to maintain the balance of the Universe. And although, it would be endearing of us to step in their shoes, but if the sole purpose of your career and life is modeling for some of the world’s best lingerie then it’s totally worth it!
