Heritage Foods Comes To North India, Launches Products In Delhi

on

The market for agricultural and milk products is huge in India. However, there does come a divide when you move south, with a whole different bunch of players in the arena as compared to the North. However, one popular South Indian brand is making the shift and creating its consumer base in North Indian as well, starting with the launch its milk and milk products in Delhi on 28th April. Say hello to Heritage Foods, Delhiites!

Heritage Foods is a famous South Indian dairy company, which will now be available in the Capital as well. The company said it would step up its current production of 14 lakhs litres of milk per day to 28 lakh litres. This growth is facilitated by the recent acquisition of Reliance Dairy’s brands, Dairy Life and Dairy Pure in north India. In order to achieve this target, the milk produce will be brought into the Capital from farmers located just 5 hours away, which will invariably mean fresher milk and also a consistent flow of good quality milk.

In addition to this, Heritage will also start 5 more milk processing plants in the next 5 years in order to fulfill its mission of reaching INR 6000 crore revenue by the end of 2022. According to the company, the annual turnover of Heritage Foods crossed INR 2380 crore in financial year 2015-16.

“We are very happy to foray into Delhi and other states in the North and we would like to repeat the same success we have had in other markets where Heritage is a trusted brand. While we have aggressive expansion plans of being a Rs.6000 cr. company by 2022, we would like to stick to our core philosophy of our own procurement of milk from farmers 5 hours away from Delhi to ensure the freshest milk to the consumer, everyday,” said Brahmani Nara, executive director, Heritage Foods.

Founded in 1992 by Andhra Pradesh’s first Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Heritage Foods primarily deals with procurement, processing and marketing of dairy products and is present in 15 States in India. Over the next two years Heritage aims at becoming a known household name across the country with fresh and nutritious products available for its consumers.
