This Hero Ran A 10K But Stopped At Every Taco Store On The Way

on

If you’re not a runner (or simply shun all forms of exercise like so many of us) marathons are certainly not your favourite event (unless of course, it’s a movie marathon). However, Anna Orso was determined to chart out the 10k of your dreams, to go where no man or woman had ever gone before.

Orso didn’t officially run the Philly 10K, but she did map out the same route and highlighted every taco spot on the way. In a personal five hour marathon, not only did Orso walk the Philly 10K route, but she stopped by 13 taco shops (yes, you read that number right) eating a total of 14 tacos, and even made time to sneak in a margarita (what a boss).

Orso started her taco-filled athletic challenge at around 11 a.m. and had her last taco at 4:15. Not only were there enormous hardships in the way (like certain taco places having a minimum taco order of three and the 10 kilometers, hello) but she also did the residents of Philly a huge favor by reviewing each place. You can check out her entire adventure on Billy Penn here. Perhaps Anna wasn’t the hero that Philly expected, but she was definitely the hero they needed.
