The fourth phase of Gurgaon’s DLF chapter is almost as big as the rest but is way better endowed when it comes to restaurants, local diners and bakeries. The area has a stockpile of tens of good eating joints and we totally envy the residents in the vicinity. Here is the first part of Phase 4’s eating guide.

Do not go by the plain and humble setting of the place because Biryani Blues does some mean biryanis and kebabs that’ll transport you to the times of the Nawabs and Nizams. Do try their Mutton Shikampur, Kheema Biryani and Bagara Baingan.

Start your day with a wholesome breakfast, some crepes a couple of waffles and down it with a mug a delicious hot chocolate at Di Ghent. Their eggs and crepes are one of the few in NCR that are the way the Europeans meant them to be. Simply gorgeous.

Wangchu’s is the perfect place to head to with friends and booze in tow. With indoor and outdoor seatings, bringing together ‘Machan’ and Ladakhi Kitchen formed the place. They don’t have a bar but won’t mind giving you some glasses to pour your own poison.

Pintxo is famous for its diverse Spaniard fare complete with some epic Paella, Tapas and virgin sangria, Head to this place to enjoy a decadent time in the company of Spanish cooking. We recommend the Spanish Omlette (duh-uh), Sangria (duh-uh again) and the Slow Roast Pork Belly Sandwich.

9. The Bombaykery

Fix your palate a date with exemplary baked goodies like cakes, cupcakes, cookies and brownies at this cute little bakery. The place is a tad hard to find and may require a confusing walk around the vicinity, but on the brighter side that’s a good thing as it rids you of any guilt you may feel after binging on all the frosted goodies here.
