Onam is an annual four-day festival celebrated fervently in Kerala. It marks the homecoming of mythical King Mahabali, and is celebrated with a number of festive elements like Pookkalam, Onathappan, Kazhchakkula and the delicious Sadhya, of course, among a number of other elements.
The Onam Sadhya is a lavish feast, which is an integral part of Onam celebrations. A traditional Onam Sadhya meal consists approximately 26 dishes that include the mouth-watering likes of thoran, avail, pappadam, banana chips, rasam, puliseri, dal, pickles, buttermilk and more. Drooling, yet?
