Lady Gaga & Starbucks Come Together To Bring Down The Heat This Summer

on

When it comes to cooling things down, Lady Gaga would probably be the last person that comes to the mind. But that’s about to change after the singer’s latest collaboration with Starbucks. The pop icon and the coffee giant have come together to pull New Yorkers out of their sultry misery with two new non-dairy cold brews handpicked by Gaga. serving a noble cause.

The starry (literally and metaphorically, get it?) collaboration is for a very noble cause (and no, the cause is not keeping people at bay from heat strokes). Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and Starbucks will launch the Cups of Kindness collection that will feature four drinks of which two are brand new and are marking their debut on the Starbucks menu. Behold, the Matcha Lemonade and Violet Drink.

The heavily iced moss green matcha lemonade, which is made with finely ground Teavana matcha green tea blended with lemonade to give a refreshing sweet chiller, also happens to be Lady gaga’s top pick. She said, “I adore the entire collection and I instantly fell in love with the Matcha Lemonade.”

On the other hand, the violet drink too is nothing short of fantastic. As the name suggests, this one is a rosier beverage and plays on the popularity of previous such drinks like the Pink Drink and Green Drink. This violet-pink beverage is flavoured with fresh blackberries and Starbucks’ Very Berry Hibiscus Refreshers stirred together with coconut milk and ice.

In addition to these two, Lady Gaga has picked out the Pink Drink and the Ombre Pink Drink to be part of the Cups of Kindness Collection. The range will be available starting Monday, 12th June through Monday, 19th June and 25 cents from the purachase of each of these four drinks will be donated to Gaga’s foundation. According to the press release, the money raised with go toward “programs that support youth wellness and empowerment by fostering kindness, improving mental health resources, and creating more positive environments.”
