One dish that will proove very popular is Pinkie Pie”s creation; Chimi-Cherries or Cherry-Changas. In the episode, she irritates Applejack with her relentless debate about what she should call the cherry stuffed chimiganga.
Like Pinke Pie said a cherry changa is mashed up cherries in a tortilla that’s deep fried. Sounds like a delicious dessert, does it not? Here’s a recipe to make one; serve it as a dessert after a Mexican meal.

- 2 cans cherry pie filling
- 2 oranges zested
- 6 12 inches flour tortillas
- slivered almonds
- Oil
- powdered sugar
Ingredients

- Set aside one cup of cherry pie filling.
- Chop the orange rind into small pieces and mix it with the remaining cherry pie filling.
- Spoon this mixture into the center of the tortillas.
- Sprinkle the almond slivers over the pie filing.
- Join the opposite sides of the tortillas and seal.
- Heat an inch of oil and deep fry the chimichangas until golden brown.
- Take out of the pan and place on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
- Sift the sugar on top of each chimichanga and serve.
