Next Up In Coffee News, An Alcoholic Cold Brew Is Coming To America This May

on

The alcohol and coffee combinations are just getting started, so don’t look away yet. If you’re excited about the Jack Daniel’s whisky flavoured coffee, so are we. There’s also the wine infused coffee that is going to be making an appearance only in Napa, California. And now, drumroll please, there’s going to be the first-ever alcoholic cold brew.

Some might say that the Cold Brew is the coffee for hipsters, but the basic concept is coffee that is brewed in cold water, or sometimes even room temperature water. It’s not quite a frappuccino, because it doesn’t have milk, but in some way to help you understand, that is a comparison.

Bad Larry’s Cold Hard Coffee is going to be in stores in the midwest US, in May this year. The cold brew will have 6% ABV (alcohol by volume) and 180mg of caffeine. It’ll be an interesting balance between the two as this is the first ever combination of cold brew coffee and alcohol that can be bought at any grocery store.

Blackeye Roasting Co. is the source for the coffee and it was steeped for more than 16 hours and infused with nitrogen before the canning process. So if you live in the midwest, then this is something that you can definitely look forward to in the coming months.
