Protinex Ropes In U-19 Indian Cricket Vice-Captain, Shubman Gill As Brand Ambassador
Protein food brand Protinex has signed on up-and-coming cricketer Shubman Gill, who is the vice-captain of the U-19 Indian cricket team, as its brand ambassador for the next five years. Gill is the third popular name to be associated with Protinex, which recently got U-19 Indian cricket captain Prithvi Shaw and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu on board earlier this year.
Himanshu Bakshi, Director, Marketing, Danone India, said, “Protinex is on a mission to empower Indian families to be protein sufficient and thus live active and happier lives. As thought leaders on protein, we at Protinex always aspire to think ahead of the curve and that’s where Shubman fits in very well. He is a young sportsman who resonates very well with the brand’s promise and his association will help the brand drive the message of protein-rich diet to as many Indians as possible, across age groups. We are truly proud of this association.”
A Danone brand, Protinex falls in step with its parent company’s mission ‘to bring health through food’. An aim the brand seeks to achieve through a pro-active 360 campaign that enlightens consumers about the relevance of protein in their daily diet.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Protinex family. I believe in this heritage brand and what it strives to deliver to Indian consumers. I understand the importance of protein in one’s everyday diet and Protinex has been fulfilling my everyday protein needs since childhood. I would like to thank Protinex for giving me this unique opportunity to contribute to the protein message in India,” said Gill about the association with Protinex.
The latest “protinator”, Shubman Gill is a new addition to the Indian batting line and has already made a mark with 418 runs at an average of 104.50 in the 2018 ICC U-19 World Cup.
