Cabbage Molagootal Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 cups of cabbage finely chopped
- 1/4 cup yellow moong dal
- 1/2 cup Scraped Coconut
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 Red Chilly
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- salt to taste
For tempering
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- a few curry leaves

Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, cook the dal until it is soft and then mash it lightly with the back of a spoon.
- In two cups of water cook the cabbage with a little salt and the turmeric powder.
- Roast the urad dal and red chilies in a little oil.
- Grind the roasted dal, red chillies, cumin seeds and coconut flakes together into a smooth paste.
- Mix the cooked dal into the cabbage and boil the mixture.
- Stir in the paste and add a cup of water to the mixture.
- Fry the mustard seeds and curry leaves in the coconut oil.
- Once the curry begins to boil, take it off the stove, and add the mustard seeds and curry leaves to it as garnish.
