Chow Chow Pulippu Kootu Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 large chow chow peeled and chopped, chayote
- 1/4 cup moong dal
- 1 tsp Sambar powder
- 4 small onions
- 1/8 tsp turmeric
- Salt + as needed

- 1/4 cup Coconut grated
- 1/2 tsp Jeera
- 1/2 tsp Rice flour
Temper
- 1 tsp Oil
- 3/4 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions
- Combine the chow chow, sambar powder, turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker.
- Pour in a cup of water and stir until the powders dissolve.
- Pressure cook for three whistles.
- While the chow chow cooks, grind the ingredients for grinding together with a little water.
- After three whistles, open the pressure cooker and add the paste.
- Allow the mixture to come to a boil.
- Temper the ingredients in the tempering list and add to the curry.
- Stir and allow it to cook for a few more minutes.
- Take the curry off the flame and enjoy!
