Eat Pray Love Spaghetti all’Amatriciana Recipe
The recipe belongs to the town of Amatrice in Rome and best represented in the movie Eat Pray Love. We can never ignore a delicious pasta dish and we’re sure neither can you. Make this once and you’ll fall in love with spaghetti all over again!

Ingredients
- 5 medium tomatoes
- 6 slices bacon 1-inch slices
- 2 cups = Diced onions
- 5 cloves sliced garlic
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 packet spaghetti pasta
- 1/2 cup pecorino cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
- Heat a large pan filled 3/4th with water.
- Bring the water to a boil and blanch the tomatoes.
- Once cool enough to handle, peel the skin off the tomatoes and crush them.
- Saute bacon in a pan and render the fat.
- Remove the bacon and add olive oil to the pan.
- Keeping the flame medium, add onions, salt and red pepper flakes.
- Saute till the onions soften, add garlic and let them soften too.
- Add tomatoes, salt and the bacon.
- Let the sauce boil then reduce the heat, cover the pan and let it simmer till it thickens.
- Boil the pasta in salted water according to the cook time on the pack.
- Reserve about half a cup of the pasta water.
- Heat up the sauce and add the spaghetti.
- Let the spaghetti absorb the sauce and then add the reserved pasta water and continue cooking.
- Once done remove from heat and toss with half a cup of the cheese and garnish with some after serving.
