The Hobbit Bilbo’s Apple Tarts Recipe
‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ begins with Bilbo remembering how Gandalf tricked him into hosting a party for Thorin and his company of dwarves. On the menu are seed cakes, buttered scones and apple tarts.
The events them proceed to get even more interesting, but we thought we’d take a moment to appreciate those apple tarts.
Apple Tarts
Bifur is the one who first brings up the apple tart saying “And raspberry jam and apple tart.”
To recreate the party, whip up a serving of these tarts – serve them as a dessert or have them as an afternoon snack.
