Moong Dal Tadka Recipe

Ingredients
- cup ¾moong dal
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato chopped
- inch ½ginger finely chopped
- 1/24 tsp red chili powder
- tsp ½turmeric powder
- 3 cups Water
- tsp ½salt
For tempering
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 5 cloves garlic lightly crushed
- tsp ¼garam masla powder
- tsp ¼red chili powder
- 2 green chillies
- tsp ¼Hing
- 3 tbsp ghee

Instructions
- Put all the ingredients aside from the tempering ingredients and the salt inside a pressure cooker.
- Cook until the dal is soft.
- Allow the steam to release from the pressure cooker.
- Remove the lid and stir the dal.
- Keep aside.
- Heat the ghee and fry the cumin seeds. Then add the garlic and green chili and fry for a few seconds.
- Switch off the flame, and stir in the spice powders.
- Then, pour the mixture into the dal and stir well.
- Serve the dal hot!
