For Spice Powder
- 2 Dried Red Chilies
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp ½Chana Dal
- tsp ½Urad Dal
- pinch aof Asafetida Hing
For The Rice
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tbsp Oil
- tsp ½mustard seeds
- cup ½Onions chopped
- 5-6 Curry Leaves
- 2 Green chilies finely chopped
- 1 cup Pureed Tomato
- salt to taste

Instructions
- Roast the spice powder ingredients on medium heat, stirring continuously. Once roasted let them cool completely.
- Grind the cooled down roasted ingredients into a fine powder.
- Heat oil in pan on medium heat. Once hot add mustard seeds and let them pop.
- Then add green chilies, curry leaves and onions with little salt. Cook till onions become soft and light brown.
- Add the tomato puree, remaining salt and cook till all the moisture evaporates and oil starts to leave.
- Add spice powder and cook for a minute.
- Lastly, add the cooked rice and mix.
- Serve with plain yogurt or raita.
