Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur Is Now Available In The UK To Make Your Boring Cocktails Magical

Unicorns have always been such a big deal for people. Even as a kid, unicorns were just so magical. But now, as an adult, I think we should all have reached our limit. The mystical creature is always associated with rainbows and clouds and pretty colours. So obviously all the rainbow foods have been created accordingly. Whether it’s unicorn toast or macarons or wedding cakes or doughnuts, unicorns are everywhere. Give the mythical creature a break!

Or not. Because Firebox has just launched something that is either going to get you very excited or very annoyed. Meet Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur. Firstly, why are unicorns crying and secondly, why are people using unicorn tears to create more unicorn inspired things?

The company, Firebox, describes the new alcohol as “a mythical spirit made from the tears of humanely raised unicorns”. It sells for $50 in 16-ounce bottles. There’s a whole song and dance about these ‘humanely raised unicorns’ and Firebox says: “To give Unicorn tears their unique taste, we humanely force-feed these beautiful beasts entire wheelbarrows of citrus fruit, oranges, juniper berries, bunches of coriander, and sticks of liquorice. We then force down this concoction with a giant glittery pestle, like fantasy foie gras, and reap the tears as they fall.”

The gin has a shimmery light-pink hue and iridescent glittery liquid! Talk about using Unicorn tears for real! And like with all of Firebox’s products, it only ships within the UK, so that means everybody else is just going to have to sit back and wait till someone finds a way to get this across. And for those interested, they also have a Phoenix Tears Spiced Rum option. Because more mythical tears the better, right?
