American Chicken Brand Genuine Broaster Chicken Has Entered The Indian Market

They’ve opened their first outlet in Versova, Mumbai with celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi as the brand ambassador. Yellow Tie Hospitality, an India-based food and beverage company has brought Genuine Broaster Chicken to the country while Chef Sokhi says that he will “add his touch to the brand to please the Indian palate while staying true to its American heritage”.

Talking about bringing the brand to India, Karan Tanna, the company’s Founder and CEO, said in a statement: “GBC has been an integral part of America’s food heritage and we at Yellow Tie hospitality felt it was time to introduce it to the Indian consumers so they can enjoy a comparatively healthier version of fried chicken. We plan to open 25 outlets of Genuine Broaster Chicken by end of 2016 and 70 outlets by end of 2017.”

Mondelez To Buy The Licence To Sell Cadbury Biscuits

Cadbury chocolate owner, Mondelez International, is set to buy the licence to cell Cadbury branded biscuits from Burton’s Biscuit Co, it was announced on Friday. So far, Mondelez has been selling only Cadbury chocolates, but not any of the other Cadbury brands that go with the name. The amount and other financial terms haven’t been disclosed as yet.

“The transaction will help us to unify and expand our global Cadbury biscuits portfolio in key markets and enable us to explore delicious new products by using the best of our chocolate and biscuit innovation platforms,” said Hubert Weber, head of Mondelez Europe.

FSSAI makes public draft standards on making instant noodles

The draft of standards regarding the manufacturing of instant noodles wherein specifying the ingredients used, quality and safety parameters are not on the public domain, the FSSAI announced on Friday.

Minister of State for Health Faggan Singh Kulaste said the standards specify the raw materials that can be used for manufacture of noodles and seasoning provided with the noodles along with the quality and safety parameters of the final product. “These can be prepared from wheat flour and/or rice flour and/or flour of any other cereals, millets, legumes and water as the main ingredients, with or without addition of spices,” he added.
