Wendy’s India Ties Up With Instago, A Travel App To Bring You Free Burgers
Wendy’s India has teamed up with Instago a travel app to reach out to people on the go. Both brands predict benefiting from the tie up; while Instago will get visibility through Wendy’s India, the hamburger company will be able to reach more customers.
About The Brands
Wendy’s is the world’s third largest hamburger chain, which came to India early last year. Today, it has four outlets spread across Delhi and plans to open 40-50 stores across India over the next four years.
Its menu includes a range of chicken, mutton and veg burgers as well as wraps, melts and waffle cones for desserts. The QSR has several menu items which appeal to the Indian palate like Railway Cutlet, Masala Fries and Ghost Chilli.
Meanwhile, Instago is a travel app which has a variety of functions including comparing transport modes to give you the most cost effective, frequent and efficient options, booking modes of transports and comparing time of arrival estimates across transport modes. It also offers schedules for buses, trains and metros as well as options for rental vehicles and fare estimates.
The Tie Up
To take advantage of the tie up between the brands, a user has to download the Instago app and head to the menu and click on the promotions tab. The user will then be allowed to redeem a burger railway cutlet (veg) or crispy chicken (non-veg). Additionally, if a user gets three more people to sign up with Instago using his promo code, he’ll get another burger.
Commenting on the new association, Arvind Dixit, chief operating officer of Wendy’s India, said, “We are happy to partner with Instago and make our offering accessible to more customers. We’re always keen to engage with potential customers across different platforms and when Instago approached us, we felt the partnership would be a perfect fit. We’re sure it’ll help get a new set of customers, to experience the brand & at the same time offer customer delight for the Instago user.”
Nakul Khanna a co-founder, Instago, said, “We are excited to partner with Wendy’s and make our user’s experience more special. Discovering new ways to obtain quality and efficient transport services at affordable prices is what we at Instago aim to solve for customers. In Wendy’s we have found a complementary partner that shares our vision of quality and convenience albeit in a different industry.’’
