10 Best Dishes in the World according to Foodie Hub
Aaswad, an eatery nestled in Dadar has done Dadar, Mumbai and indeed the whole of India proud by serving the missal pav that has been awarded the ‘best vegetarian dish’ in London’s Foodie Hub 2015 Global Awards. While we’ve already rhapsodised in great detail about the fabled misal pav, what were the other dishes that won awards? 1) The World’s Tastiest Burger
What: Bleeker Black at Bleeker Street Burger
Where: London
Zan Kaufman quit her job as a corporate lawyer in 2011 to devote all her time to her mission to create the world’s tastiest burger. According to Foodie Hub she’s succeeded with her bleeker black; two beef patties are surrounded by black pudding, cheese, Kaufman’s secret burger sauce and two puffy sesame buns.
2) The World’s Tastiest Steak
What: Fillet Kuroge Wagyu at Dons de La Nature
Where: Tokyo
Beef is dry aged for a month and then wet aged for another month to result in the steak that has won Foodie Hub’s award for the world’s best steak. This steak is cooked to medium rare in a custom made kiln.
3) World’s Tastiest Breakfast
What: Mexican breakfast at La Cocina de Dona Esthela
Where: Mexico
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and La Cocina de Dona Esthela understands that. Foodie Hub describes a range of great breakfasts at the restaurant, such as corn bread muffins or eggs with red salsa. The clear winner, however, was the machaca beef, spiced with Serrano chillies, bell peppers and garlic and eggs with refried beans. Sounds like it would have us going loca!
4) World’s Tastiest Sandwich

Yes, a shawama is a sandwich. After all, it does have a filling enclosed between two slices of flat bread, yes? And this shawarma is the mother of all shawarmas, with a mixture of beef, chicken lettuce, tomatoes, aoli, tahini, onions and parsley enclosed in a pocket of fresh pita bread.

What: Balti at Adil’s
Where: Birmingham, England
Are you surprised that the best curry isn’t found in India or Pakistan? Well, the idea was born when Adil’s owner, Arif spent two weeks cooking in Pakistan. He brought his experiences back to England and created the Balti; a heavenly concoction of deboned meat, prawns, turmeric, garam masala and fenugreek. Customers lap up the balti with crisp garlic naans.
6) World’s Tastiest Dumplings
What: Sheng Jian Bao at Xiao Yang Shen Jiang
Where: Shanghai
These soup dumplings are filled with pork and sesame seeds, steamed and then golden fried. A bite of them sends customers to a dumpling filled heaven!

Where: Naples, Italy
Of course, the best pizza in the world would be found in the Naples. Italian cooks are truly passionate about their pizza. This particular thick crust pizza is fashioned by chef Franco Pepe using a heavily guarded recipe.
