5 Spanking New Restaurants in Mumbai To Try This Weekend

If you’re stumped for ideas about what to do this weekend, then look no further than this post. Well, you may have to travel a little, but it’ll be well worth it, because Mumbai has a whole range of new restaurants that you have to try at least once! Here goes: 

1) The Fatty Bao 

Bangalore’s beloved Fatty Bao has arrived in Mumbai complete with its panda mascot, eclectic décor and Pan Asian menu.

2) Desi Deli 

Inspired by the 1977 Bollywood movie ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, Desi Deli is most anticipated for its three signature dishes; the Amar (a vegetarian hot dog), the Akbar (a chicken hot dog) and the Anthony (yes – you guessed it; a pork hot dog). It serves typical deli fare with a desi twist.

3) Eat Pray Luv

Bandra gets itself yet another European eatery in the form of Eat Pray Luv, which will be at the poolside of exclusive Bandra club C’est La Vie; it’s menu, which includes a range of Italian fare has been designed by Davide Cananzi, who used to be a chef at JW Mariott’s Mezzo Mezzo. 

4) Community

Chef Davide Cananzi has certainly been a busy man; he’s also designed a menu for new concept restaurant – Community at Khar. This restaurant will be hosting pop up food stalls, home chefs and other restaurants, along with having the menu designed by Cananzi. It has an apt name for the cooking community, don’t you think?

5) Playlist Pizzeria 

If you’re a fan of Indie music then head to Playlist Pizzeria, which is a pizza parlour created for the love of music. Buy your own song, and then buy a pie named after a song; would you like a slice of the “Hips Don’t Lie’ pizza or the ‘Beliebers’ pie?
