The Story Of Sula
Sula was started by Rajeev Samant in 1999 after he exited the corporate world and realised that his family’s 20 acre plot in Nashik was perfect for raising wine grapes. He partnered with Kerry Damskey, a Californian winemaker and soon had his vineyards developing wine types that had never been made in India before, such as the Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel and the Reisling.
The Sula vineyards have now expanded to the neighbouring area of Dindori which produces the popular Dindori Reserve Shiraz. The Nashik vineyards also have an interactive area which allows customers to visit the vineyards, go on a wine tour, dine at the beautiful French restaurant and purchase bottles of Sula below the maximum retail price.
Talking Wines
Sula creates a variety of wines in the red, white, sparkling, rose and dessert wine category. We personally love the Sula Zinfandel Rose, which is a light, fruity treat and the Sula Brut which is a fizzy, tongue tingling concoction.
The Sula Brut Tropical Wine
At the celebration of their anniversary, Sula launched a new, limited edition wine, perfect for the festive season; Sula Brut Tropical which is made with the Pinot Noir grape, creating a crispy flavour profile and packaged in a quirky, colourful bottle.

Will you be raising a toast to Sula’s fifteen years? We sure will, and we have our eyes on the Brut Tropical which is available in Mumbai and will soon be in stores across India.
Santé!
