Gear Up For A Royal Pop-Up Diner
Following a flood last month in Aberdeenshire, which brought major parts of the area to a standstill, The Duke of Rothesay a.k.a. Prince Charles is planning to bring some relief into the lives of the affected. He is planning to open a pop-up restaurant that will aid the people of the storm stricken area.
The flood uprooted hundreds of houses, businesses and foundations and also caused a number of people to evacuate the region.
Prince Charles’ pop-up restaurant will set foot in one of the village’s empty shops and is expected to have on offer products brought in from the Highgrove House.
The Royalty has invested a major chunk of money in the town’s regeneration. Spokesman to The Duke, Robert Lovie said: “The restaurant would be set up temporarily until other things in Ballater, such as the station and other businesses, get back on their feet.
“We are just waiting for Aberdeenshire Council to confirm the planning and hopefully we can start getting the work done inside.”
