KFC’s Double Down v/s Taco Bell’s Naked Crispy Chicken Taco: India, What’s Your Pick? #POLL
For most carbohydrates are bad, but given the current fast food trend, the food group seems unnecessary altogether! What trend, you ask? Allow us to remind you of the crunchy bun-less wonder that took India by storm a few months back – KFC’s Double Down burger.
While the snack was already popular oversees, it was served to the Indian consumer in late 2017 as the much sought after “secret burger”. As aforementioned, the burger was bun-less, which means that instead of the bread it had two juicy chunks of crispy fried chicken and the cheese, greens, and sauces sandwiched between them. Yes, it was a site and bite to behold.

And just when we were going gaga over the Double Down, Taco Bell hopped on the no-carb bandwagon and kicked the taco shell out of the picture, giving the taco a “delicious upgrade”. Behold, the Naked Crispy Chicken Taco. What’s that? Just your regular taco but with a thick fried chicken shell instead of the corn taco shell? Yes please, we’ll have a quintal of that! Here’s what the meaty Tex-Mex fast food spectacle looks like.
