on

The brand, Kosh Oats under the Future Group has launched a Roti Donation Drive in a partnership with the Salaam Bank Trust. The drive was launched on World Food Day and is ongoing till 22nd October wherein through support by its consumers, Kosh will be distributing rotis amongst underprivileged children.

Eradicating Hunger One Roti At A Time

The Salaam Bank Trust that the brand has tied up with already gives food, shelter and education for underprivileged children. The brand is thus doing its bit by involving consumers in its drive. The customers can become roti donors by going to any Big Bazaar store and donate Re.1 to donate one roti for the children. The donations thus collected from all 260 plus stores will be used to buy atta and thus the rotis made from the flour will be cooked and distributed.

The consumers can also retweet or share the donation drive message and be a part of the contribution. Each retweet and share being accounted for a roti each, this initiative has also been made digital to make contribution easier. “It is heartbreaking to see millions of children starve with no food. With the help of Salaam Baalak, we will try and feed as many kids as possible. This drive is a small gesture from us and I would like to urge our consumers to help us help those in need,” said Sadashiv Nayak, CEO – Food Business – Future Group in a statement.

As a part of the drive, the Big Bazaar stores across the country will even have live roti counters. Here, the customers can come in and make rotis which will then be donated to the NGO. The NGO will then distribute these fresh rotis as wel to the children.
