After many complaints, IRCTC has been working hard to maintain hygiene levels and food quality. This is just one of its measures in order to maintain transparency of how their kitchens work to the travellers. “This live streaming can be accessed by anyone on IRCTC’s website under the gallery link,” the corporation stated to the media report F&B News.
Aside from launching the new service, Lohani also inspected the IRCTC kitchens at Noida that makes about 10,000 meals a day for travellers. These meals are meant for the Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains that start from New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Anand Vihar stations. Lohani, appreciated the large scale of operations at the kitchens and told the publication that the fact that a food testing lab exists was a unique feature of IRCTC. “Such a facility is conspicuous by its absence in the airline catering sector,” Lohani told F&B News.
