Chocolate
Melon and Mascarpone Kit Kat Anyone?
Japan has definitely done it again.
Japan is known for their crazy wild concoctions of chocolate and other popular desserts, but this one definitely takes the cake.
The newest flavour is Hokkaido melon with mascarpone cheese and it’s being sold at airports in Japan along with two other flavours that are currently being tested – Japanese strawberry and uji matcha (green tea).
According to Nestle Japan’s website, the new variety sandwiches the “powder of Hokkaido melon and mascarpone cheese between sweet wafers,” and is topped off with white chocolate.
In January, Kit Kat sold 24 karat gold Kit Kat bars and they also had sake-flavoured Kit Kat making the rounds.
At this point, these bars are only available in Japan and there is still no word on whether or not it’s making it’s way into the rest of the world just yet.
