It’s Official Miami, Salt Bae Is In Town
After creating a buzz among Pitbull fans – with the singer opening his restaurant at Ocean Drive – Miami is now trending with #SaltBae fans as the social media favourite is all set to open his first restaurant in the US. That too in one of the country’s most happening beach cities, no less!
Apart from being an Instagram sensation with impeccable seasoning and meat sculpting skills, Salt Bae, a.k.a. Nusret Gökçe, is also the owner of a popular Turkish steakhouse chain Nusr-et, which has ten locations across the globe in cities like Dubai and Turkey. And lucky for the States, Nusret has finally decided to step foot on the continent with his eleventh outlet.
Eleventh In Line
The mini-chain will be situated inside former COYA Miami space at 999 Brickell Avenue, reports Eater. This Miami-based outlet will mirror the meat-laden menu, family-size meals, and other culinary specifications of its existing outlets, revealed Yavuz Pehlivanlar, the EVP of Dream Group USA (the management team behind the restaurant). A few dishes that are synonymous with Nusret’s food chain are marinated sliced beef, rack of lamb, burgers and more.
The chef and restaurateur took to social media to announce his arrival in the southeastern city, earlier this week. Although Miami is the first in USA to get the franchise, it won’t be the only one for long. The restaurant will also be launched in New York City later this year.
Meanwhile, the rest of us who are not within motorable distance of the eating joint, here’s a look at one of his few slick – and totally tantalizing – skills by the suave Turkish butcher.
