This Is Where Foodies Can Head For Some Irish Cheer This St Patrick’s Day In Mumbai
Hello Mumbai foodies! Tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day – which means it’s time to don that green suit, find a leprechaun and hunt for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Okay – now that we’ve got all the clichés out of the way it’s time for a little history. St Patrick’s Day marks the death day of St Patrick. It’s a day on which Christians, who are fasting or abstaining from non-vegetarian food and alcohol during Lent, can stop their fast for a day and enjoy a feast and drinks.
To take full advantage of the day, here are three places in Mumbai that you can head to this St Patrick’s Day.
Hoppipola
This fun bar is dishing our Green Leprechaun beer as well as serving fare from a ‘green’ themed menu just for St Patty’s Day. Enjoy some good old Irish cheer with the beer and Hoppipola’s fun games.
Old Wild West
If you want to get your drinks game on tomorrow, head to Old Wild West which will be serving green shots and martinis at Rs. 200 each. They’ll also be serving domestic alcohol including Kingfisher, Blender’s, Blue Riband, Old Monk, Bacardi and Smirnoff for Rs. 99. Finally, there’ll also be an offer on Nachos; get unlimited helpings for two at just Rs. 500.
Irish House
If you want a complete Irish vibe, head to Irish house which has beer towers and quirky posters that encourage you to drink just as much beer as your heart desires. There are Irish Houses spread across the city for you to get your beer game on!
P.s – if you want to bring a little Irish spirit into your kitchen, try this mint chocolate recipe or this green sorbet float recipe.
