Yay or Nay: The New Starbucks Cascara Latte #POLL
Last month (or last year, depending on your maturity level), Starbucks announced the launch of its brand new winter latte. Christened the Cascara Latte, the announcement of coffee magnate’s “first new latte of 2017” was made at Starbucks’ Biennial Investor Conference; and the release date was scheduled to be in January 2017.
And true to its promise, the coffee company dropped its new Cascara Latte this month. Now, if you’re wondering what on earth a cascara and what is it doing in your latte, allow us to break it down for you. According to the coffee company, cascara is a Spanish word that translates to the “husk” or “shell” of a coffee cherry (i.e., the fruit surrounding the coffee bean). It’s this very cherry that gives the new latte a hint of sweet and fruity flavour.
The limited edition latte is available in Starbucks outlets across the United States, so go grab your fruit cuppa joe before they replace it with a zucchini Frappuccino or something! But first, let us know whether you would like to try this new 2017 addition to Starbucks’ menu? Vote below!
