Zomato Gold Service Launched In India Offering Complimentary Meals To The Customers
The popular food delivery and online restaurant discovery app, Zomato has brought its international paid subscription programme to India which is called Zomato Gold. Business Today reports that the service will offer complimentary food and drinks at more than 1200 high-end restaurant partners. The service launched on Wednesday in India and in the UAE and Portugal earlier this year.

“We are super excited to bring Zomato Gold to India, and are sure our users, as well as restaurant partners, are both going to find this hugely beneficial,” Zomato founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Deepinder Goyal told the publication. He also added that the restaurants and bars from the cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru have been added to the new service and that more cities will be added over a period of few weeks.
Zomato Treats is current subscription programme in the country which has almost 60,000 members according to a recent blog by the company. Amongst the other perks of the newly launched ‘Zomato Gold’, the customers will receive exclusive invites to F&B events like ine tasting sessions, new menu previews, pub crawls, chef cookout sessions, new restaurant openings, etc. according to Inc 42.
There are currently two kinds of membership plans for Zomato Gold – a three month plan which costs Rs.599 and a yearly plan which costs Rs. 1499. It is evident through the launch of this premium service as well as improvements in services to restaurants that Zomato sees a big market in India.
