Zomato Now In Surat, Vishakapatnam, Bhopal and Bhubaneshwar

Zomato expanded its online ordering and food delivery services to Surat, Vishakapatnam, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar earlier this week, as a means to aid its progress in the online food delivery sector. The addition of these four cities on Zomato’s online ordering services brings its total to 21 cities in India, the others being Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Kochi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Indore, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Ludhiana.

Hassle-free delivery

According to reports, Zomato has partnered with around 500 restaurants in the four newly included cities for its food delivery service.

Zomato aims to offer the convenience of hassle-free delivery with live order tracking, an average delivery time of 35 mins, personalized customer service, multiple payment options, and the largest spread of restaurants to order from to their customers in Surat, Vizag, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar.

“Exceptional response”

“Growth in tier 2 and tier 3 cities have been really encouraging for us and we want to continue to penetrate the country and reach out to more and more people, and make their interactions with restaurant much more seamless as compared to what they are right now. We recently launched in 4 new cities and the response has been exceptional. As an example we have already clocked over 1000 orders a day in Vizag in under 10 days since the launch,” Mohit Gupta, CEO – Food Delivery, Zomato told the publication.

Apart from features like the user ratings and reviews, the app also has ‘The Finest’ and ‘New Arrivals’ lists that make decision-making an easier process for consumers. When it comes to payment options, they have multiple options such as Cash on delivery, Cards (debit and credit), Net banking, Wallets – Paytm, Freecharge, Mobikwik, along with later pay options like Simpl and Lazypay.
