It’s the weekend and you’re planning to go out for dinner. The restaurant is decided, you’ve told everyone you need to and everyone’s reaching there at the allotted time (hopefully). You’re scrambling to get ready because you’re late. Last-minute lipstick and you’re out the door as soon as you decide what footwear to wear. You look through your shoe rack, pick your favourite heels and just as you’re at the door you turn to say bye to those sad-looking eyes staring right at you. Wondering when you will be home next. You feel a pang of guilt, but then you think where would I take my dog in Bangalore?
Now you don’t need to leave your pet alone at home anymore while you’re out about town. Here are 11 restaurants, in no particular order, that serve great food and you get to enjoy it with your best friend!
1. CounterCulture, Whitefield
Along with being known as a live performance café, CounterCulture will also let you enjoy some amazing food with your beloved pet. 2. Spoonful of Sugar, Indiranagar
Tucked away in Indiranagar, Spoonful of Sugar is a little hard to find. But oh my, the hunting is worth it. They serve blissful desserts that will quench your craving for sugar. A little on the pricey side but it beats leaving your dog at home.
3. Toit, Indiranagar
One of the most popular microbreweries in, Toit has got it all right. The ambience, the beer, the music, the food and the service. Why should your dog miss out on all the fun?
4. Rasta Café, Mysore Road
If you want to take a long drive with your pet and replenish your system with some food then what better than Rasta Café on Mysore Road. The drive is brilliant with smooth roads and hardly any traffic and the food is decent enough for a place that’s open pretty much throughout the night. Must-try’s are the Nachos and Double Decker Burger.
5. Bistro Claytopia, Koramangala & Indiranagar
Located in both Koramangala and Indiranagar, Bistro Claytopia needs no introduction especially to the student crowd in both areas. They serve some great burgers and their barbequed chicken burger is to die for.
6. The French Loaf, Frazer Town
Their outdoor-y ambience is perfect for an outing with your dog. It has a laid back feel and you can sit, relax and sip on some coffee while you read a book. It might not be one of the best coffee cafes in town but it’s one of the better French Loafs.
7. The Hole in the Wall Café, Koramangala
So you’re probably not going to get a seat at this café until you wait for 15 minutes. But taste their food and you will know exactly why there is such a long waiting line. But we assure you, it’s worth every minute. For you and your pet. Best beef burgers in town. Period.
8. Chez Mariannick, Whitefield
You will need your Google Maps to get to this family run café. The café has a rustic feel to it, and you have an option of being seated indoors or outdoors. They have an interesting menu and some great pizza. A true delight.
9. Sunny’s, Lavelle Road
Fantastic food in a quaint little café on Lavelle road. The food at Sunny’s speaks for itself. A visit here is guaranteed to be a cherished memory and you will keep coming back for more.
10. Urban Adda, New BEL Road
Located above Pizza Hut, Urban Adda has amazing ambience. On a day where you would just like to take a break from work and hang out with your pet, Urban Adda is a good option. The food isn’t the best, but hey your dog’s worth it, yes?
11. Green Theory, Residency Road
If you are Vegetarian and have a pet, look no further than Green Theory. They have diwan-type seating and once you’re comfortably seated you notice the greenery that the restaurant surrounds you with. Vegetarian food is absolutely out of this world, with meat options for your pet as well.
