Lavazza India Launches A Coffee Training Centre In India
Lavazza India, the Indian wing of Lavazza an internationally renowned coffee brand has launched its first training centre in India in Chennai. The centre will provide training in coffee knowledge to baristas, bartenders, caterers as well as regular customers.

In a statement to reportors after the inauguration of the 800 square feet centre, Mauro Mantovani, the group’s chief commercial officer of Lavazza said “With the growing network of training centres around the world and since it is the largest coffee study center of its kind, we shall bring the world class Italian coffee culture of Lavazza to Indian coffee lovers.”
The training centre will offer a range of workshops and courses including coffee tasting, coffee cultivation and processing, espresso preparation, cappuccinos, latte art, coffee design and roasting coffee..
Lavazza has 8 training centres in Italy and 50 around the world.
Commenting on the launch, Silvio Zavvareo, the Marketing Director of Fresh and Honest Cafe said ““We have been in India for a decade, as part of a 121-year family-owned business history, and have introduced state-of-the-art innovations, which help deliver superior quality and taste in every cup of coffee. Indeed, India is one of Lavazza’s top ten markets. It entered India in 2007 by acquiring Fresh & Honest Cafe Limited.
A few months ago, Lavazza India inaugurated its ‘Made in India’ range, which features coffees made from beans sourced and processed in India. Variants under this range include Gusto Crema, Grand Hotel, Breakfast Filter and Oro Aroma.
