Mr. Hot Foods Raises An Undislosed Amount Of Seed Funding From IvyCamp Ventures
Mr. Hot Foods, a food delivery start-up in India, has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round led by IvyCamp Ventures, India’s first online marketplace for innovation and entrepreneurship, leveraging the power of the Global Alumni Network. Pawan Raj Kumar, an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Lucknow, has also invested and will mentor the startup.
Pawan is an active investor and mentor for various startups. An entrepreneur himself, he also runs a diversified organisation that provides various products and services in food and food service industry.
Mr. Hot foods started with the aim to empower local bhojanalayas, thali houses and tiffin centres and to bring their homely food to customers in a restaurant style of ordering and standardized packaging. Along with increased sales and online reach, their vendors get professional training from chefs, and access to analytics and technology to handle operations efficiently. Now, with their upgraded standards of service they are powered to compete with restaurants and build their own brandname online.
“(The) addition of Pawan as a mentor to our team Mr. Hot foods has helped us to understand the dynamics of F&B industry on a larger scale. His ideas and regular inputs helps us in strategic decision making,” said Pankaj Sharma, founder of Mr. Hot foods.
Mr. Hot Foods also aims at solving a big problem faced by scores of young Indians who work and study away from home. With hectic jobs and limited income, these individuals look for food options that are friendlier on the pocket and more homely. Here, Mr Hot Foods steps up to the plate. They reach out to small kitchens that make simple food and help them increase their reach to customers.
“I truly believe that with India’s huge young and migratory population, Mr Hot foods has touched the right chord in the business of food service and delivery”, said Mr. Pawan Raj Kumar.
